iLearn is Powerful: A Stellar Review

No, literally. It’s a review about stars. And Nuclear energy. In the midst of the black hole of late-May learner attention spans.

Physics teachers Heather Bauman and Michelle Hier recently placed their review for the upcoming test on Nuclear Physics and the Life Cycle of Stars on iLearn (Moodle) with the support of the Tech Coaches.

This is just one of the many ways teachers like Bauman and Hier are using iLearn (Moodle) to create learning opportunities and make learning more effective and efficient for students with the use of technology.

What was once a paper review is now an interactive activity for which students can get immediate, personalized feedback.

This, on paper, became…

…this, with the help of a simple Moodle Drag-and-Drop into Text question type.

On top of all of that, this activity can also be shared with the class Ms. Bauman and Ms. Hier have been collaborating to support, themselves, that has a long-term sub.

With technology like Moodle, learning opportunities are enhanced, become more substantial, and the effectiveness of teachers who are empowered with its use can extend beyond their classroom walls in a variety of ways.
