6 + 1 Writing Assignment in Mrs. Wachholz’s Forensic Science Class

Forensic Science teacher Michelle Wachholz from Edsel Ford recently created an argumentative writing assignment that students worked on using district laptops. Mrs. Wachholz began by creating the assignment on iLearn.  She utilized one of the shared 6 + 1 Writing Traits Rubrics on iLearn to communicate the expectations for the assignment to her students before.  She plans to use the rubric to provide feedback at a few clicks of the button so students can improve in their writing skill.

This was a model for integrating technology into the classroom, in which the available technology allowed Mrs. Wachholz to more effectively engage students and give meaningful feedback as students progress through the learning cycle.  Great work Mrs. Wachholz!
