Lots of good things are happening at Henry Ford! In Mrs. Hammoud’s 3rd grade class, students are using Google Classroom to complete writing assignments.
In Mrs. Hetu’s 1st grade class, students are using flipcharts created by their teacher to practice building words during Daily 5. Mrs. Hetu used the “Drag a Copy” feature on her Promthean board to create a alphabet with infinite letters. Students use this to practice their spelling words. Then, Mrs. Hetu created a similar flipchart, but this time used word chunks. Students then built words based on the chunks their teacher provided.
