Tech Tip Tuesday: Have students create interactive timelines

There’s a great and relatively simple way for students to create interactive digital timelines using a Google Sheet template and a couple easy steps found at the bottom of https://timeline.knightlab.com/  Students can customize their timeline with dates, descriptions, and even photos and video. Here’s a sample that I whipped up by simply entering information on the Google Sheet template from the site https://www.historyoftechnology.org/2013/05/13/brief-history-of-dearborn/:

Get students started by giving them the link to https://timeline.knightlab.com/! Once they’ve followed the steps, they can submit the link to their timeline via Google Classroom or Moodle, OR, they can find a way to embed the timeline on a site of their own, like one they’ve created at studentsites.dearbornschools.org.
